"The cotton paper holds the charcoal like memory holds a face: imperfectly, beautifully, with weight."

Good Ereseh works entirely by hand, drawing with charcoal and graphite pencils on heavy cotton paper. No digital tools, no shortcuts. Each piece can take weeks, a sustained act of looking and translating what the eye sees into marks the hand must make.

The work explores what makes a face recognisable: the weight behind an eye, the tension held in a jaw, the way emotion organises itself across skin. These are not portraits. They are studies in being human.

Fragments of Thought — Original Abstract Charcoal Artwork

The Artist

Drawing from
the human story.

Based in London. Working across original commissions, limited edition prints, and bespoke portrait work. Every piece is created on archival cotton paper, built in layers over days or weeks.

The process is slow by design, the slowness is the work.
