Your rights when returning an artwork, and how the process works.

Your right to cancel

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your artwork, without giving any reason.

The cancellation period expires 14 days from the day on which you, or a person you nominate, receive physical possession of the artwork.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement — by email to art@goodereseh.com — before the 14-day period has expired.

How to return an artwork

01
Contact us first
Email art@goodereseh.com within 14 days of receiving your order. Include your name, order reference and the reason for the return.
02
Package carefully
Repack the artwork in its original packaging if possible. Original artworks must be returned in the presentation box as received. We recommend photographing the packaging before sending.
03
Send via tracked courier
Return the artwork using a tracked and insured service. You are responsible for the artwork until it is received by us. We recommend insuring the return shipment for the full purchase value.
04
Refund issued
Once we receive and inspect the returned artwork, we will process your refund within 14 days to the original payment method. We will notify you by email when the refund has been issued.

Condition of returned items

Returned artworks must be in their original condition — undamaged, unframed (unless supplied framed), and free from any marks, odours or alterations. You are responsible for any diminished value of the artwork resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

If an artwork is returned in a condition that has reduced its value, we reserve the right to make a deduction from your refund to cover the reduction in value.

Exclusions

Commission pieces

Artworks created to your personal specification through a commission are excluded from the standard right of cancellation, as they are bespoke pieces made specifically for you. This exclusion applies once creation has commenced following your deposit and approval of the commission brief.

If you wish to cancel a commission before work has commenced, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellation terms for commissions are agreed individually at the time of commissioning.

Digital content

Any digital files or licences, if provided, are non-returnable once delivered.

Return shipping costs

You are responsible for the cost of returning the artwork to us unless the item is faulty or not as described. We recommend retaining proof of postage and using a service with appropriate insurance cover.

If the artwork was sent to you in error or is faulty, we will cover the cost of return shipping.

Refunds

Refunds are made to the original payment method (via Stripe) within 14 days of us receiving the returned artwork and confirming its condition. You will receive an email confirmation when the refund has been processed.

If you paid by credit or debit card, please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card provider.

Damaged or faulty items

If your artwork arrives damaged or is not as described, please contact us at art@goodereseh.com within 48 hours of receiving your order. Include photographs of the damage and the outer packaging.

We will arrange a full refund or replacement at no cost to you, including return shipping. Please do not dispose of any packaging materials until we have advised you to do so.

These rights are in addition to, and do not affect, your statutory rights under UK consumer protection law. For any questions about a return, contact art@goodereseh.com. We aim to respond within one business day.
